Title:  You are a Badass

Author: Jen Sincero

Year Published: 2013

Publisher:  Running Press

Description:  You are a Badass is a down to earth and plain speaking self help book meant for anyone who is in need of an extra boost to remind them of the greatness we all possess inside. This book is filled with humorous stories which are frighteningly relatable. The motivational voice the author speaks with encourages the reader to look within themselves to find their own silver lining in order to excel at their own greatness.

Key takeaways: I can’t begin to credit this book enough for how it was transformational in my own life. I read this book at a time when I was changing companies going from a sales job that provided in-house sales leads versus the new company which required me to generate my own sales. The moral of my story was I had to believe in myself and believe in what I was capable of achieving. Often business people are required to live in an imaginary world of possibilities to bring the reality to life. You are a Badass provides the mental wherewithal to make you believe what you envision can be achieved.

Who this book is good for:  Individuals looking for encouragement while either considering or in the process of making a career change or major life transformation. The humor sprinkled throughout the book will keep the reader engaged and motivated to achieve all they can imagine. This book is a good read for those who have attempted to turn their life around and are in need of comfort in knowing they are not alone in their pursuit of greater achievements.
